Leader:  The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

 

People:  And also with you.

 

Leader:  Christ is the light of the world.  As Christians you are light and should leave darkness behind.

 

People:  We will live like those who feel at home in daylight.

 

PRAYER OF INVOCATION

 

God of light, in whom there is no darkness at all, we are not blinded by your glory though we are dazzled by it even as it is refracted in Jesus Christ your Son.  Fill us with your light so that the darkness still within us will gradually disappear; in the Spirit of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
