People: We will make God’s deeds known in the world around, declaring the supremacy of the divine name!

 

PRAYER OF INVOCATION

As your people, covenant God, we are filled with expectation as we approach again the celebration of the first advent of your Son, Jesus of Nazareth, whose coming was heralded by John the Baptist. Inspire us by the hearing of the Good News that we may be spiritually prepared for another encounter with the living Christ, in whose name we pray. Amen.
